Despite the perpetual rumors of a pending break up, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez traveled to Japan together on July 9 and were spotted at Narita's International Airport.
Bieber and his lady created quite a crowd as they made their way through the airport. Bieber is in town for the Asian leg of his promotional tour for his new album, Believe, and took to Twitter to announce his excitement at arriving in Tokyo.
"Excited to be back in Japan to see some of the best fans on earth and my guys at Smap Smap!," Biebs tweeted.
The two made their way through the airport in what seemed to be some sort of matched their attire, both rocking seriously stylish (or dated, depending on what decade you were born in) sleeveless jean jackets.
Selena’s look can be classified as all-American cute with the jacket put over a tank with a bold polka dot print. Biebs look - on the other hand look - could be classified as thug chic.
The "Boyfriend' singer paired his jean jacket with a seriously pleased with himself grin, tight legged/super baggy assed black pants with red zipper accents, some kind of leather looking long sleeved shirt, a red backpack and, wait for it… a bandana with a top knot. Some are saying in an effort to shed his Teen Beat image, Bieber is channeling the late gangsta rapper, Tupac.
Yeah, the Canadian singer who’s an entire boy band all wrapped up into one barely post-pubescent body, seems to be working on his “hard” edge.
So far, Bieber’s gangsta phase includes slapping a paparazzi at the mall, getting an inspirational tattoo, throwing faux gang signs on the beach, and hanging up on a radio host for comparing him to Justin Timberlake.
As for whether or not Selena will be accompanying her “man” on the rest of his tour remains to be seen.
But she might just want to opt to return home to hang out with Bieber’s roommate, who clearly has nothing to prove with his Abercrombie fun-loving vibe.
