Selena Gomez Talks About The Other Justin In Her Life Actress tells MTV News why 'NSYNC is her favorite boy band and how Justin Timberlake stole her early-teenage heart
f there is one thing we have learned in MTV's Battle of the Boy Bands, it's that all those boy band fans are extremely dedicated. Fans have proudly bonded together to show their allegiance to their favorite groups to help them advance to the next round, and as a result, we have had someshocking eliminations.
Yet, this bracket has also served as a reminder of why we fell in love with these groups to begin with. Whether it was their boyish good looks or catchy hit songs that hooked them, most people can probably name their favorite boy band of all time. So when we got the opportunity to sit down with Selena Gomez when she was promoting her new fragrance, we had to ask, which boy band stole her heart in her early teens?
"'NSYNC all the way, of course," Gomez revealed. "It was the first for me and then they did that tour with Britney [Spears] and I like lost my mind and will always remember that time in my life."
And when you have a favorite group, you have to have a favorite member, and Gomez's boy band crush coincidently has the same name as her current beau.
"It was Justin Timberlake," Gomez revealed. "But I think I also, I think I liked Lance Bass as well. ... He has pretty eyes."
Unfortunately for Gomez, 'NSYNC were knocked out in a battle against British boy band 5ive in the first round of competition. Luckily, she can still vote for the new wave of boy bands, The Wanted and One Direction.
"It's cool, that's kind of awesome that they're coming back and they legitimately are," Gomez said of boy bands making a comeback. "I like it."

Know-nothing controversy millHollywoodLife is explaining reports of Justin Bieber-Selena Gomez relationship trouble with its own unique, completely absurd spin.
The webloid claims Bieber is being “pressured” to dump Gomez.
HollywoodLife writes, “Even though Justin and Selena are madly in love, outside sources are trying to tear them apart — they want him to be a single heartthrob like the guys in One Direction!”
Um, some of the One Direction guys have girlfriends.
But why should HollywoodLife be expected to start paying attention to celebrity news now?
In any case, the site insists that Bieber’s “team thinks his career could be hurt by his relationship with Selena.”
A made-up HollywoodLife “source” provides this made-up “quote”: “People in Justin’s world think a ‘single Justin’ is more lucrative. With bands out there like One Direction and other heartthrobs, Justin having a girlfriend shows that he’s unattainable — which isn’t good for ticket sales, album buys and young screaming girl fans.”
The “source” adds, “People in Justin’s camp are scared that it will ruin or stunt his career in the long run.”
This is ridiculous.
Bieber and Gomez have dated for roughly a year and a half.
During that time, The Biebs has continued to put out hit songs, sell out concerts, and inspireactual stampedes among “young screaming girl fans.”
His relationship with Gomez has not “ruined” or “stunted” his career.
HollywoodLife has consistently been wrong about the couple, even saying last winter thatGomez had ditched Bieber at an Oscars party to boost her career.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez stepped out on Thursday for a conspicuous dinner date, hours after reports emerged that the couple was going through a rough spot.
The public display of affection was captured by photographers outside the Pink Pepper restaurant in Hollywood.
When questioned about his relationship status, Bieber is said to have told the gathered paparazzi, “What does it look like?”
Earlier in the day, TMZ reported that that the duo had broken up “multiple times in the last few months” and were currently “on the rocks.”

The mag then quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “Justin is worried Selena will dump him for a hunkier, more virile-looking guy. He’s even considered testosterone supplements to trigger hair growth.”
In an even more fabricated remark, the Enquirer’s made-up “source” adds, “[Bieber's] working hard to become the manly man of Selena’s dreams.”

Despite the perpetual rumors of a pending break up, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez traveled to Japan together on July 9 and were spotted at Narita's International Airport.
Bieber and his lady created quite a crowd as they made their way through the airport. Bieber is in town for the Asian leg of his promotional tour for his new album, Believe, and took to Twitter to announce his excitement at arriving in Tokyo.
"Excited to be back in Japan to see some of the best fans on earth and my guys at Smap Smap!," Biebs tweeted.
The two made their way through the airport in what seemed to be some sort of matched their attire, both rocking seriously stylish (or dated, depending on what decade you were born in) sleeveless jean jackets.
Selena’s look can be classified as all-American cute with the jacket put over a tank with a bold polka dot print. Biebs look - on the other hand look - could be classified as thug chic.
The "Boyfriend' singer paired his jean jacket with a seriously pleased with himself grin, tight legged/super baggy assed black pants with red zipper accents, some kind of leather looking long sleeved shirt, a red backpack and, wait for it… a bandana with a top knot. Some are saying in an effort to shed his Teen Beat image, Bieber is channeling the late gangsta rapper, Tupac.
Yeah, the Canadian singer who’s an entire boy band all wrapped up into one barely post-pubescent body, seems to be working on his “hard” edge.
So far, Bieber’s gangsta phase includes slapping a paparazzi at the mall, getting an inspirational tattoo, throwing faux gang signs on the beach, and hanging up on a radio host for comparing him to Justin Timberlake.
As for whether or not Selena will be accompanying her “man” on the rest of his tour remains to be seen.
But she might just want to opt to return home to hang out with Bieber’s roommate, who clearly has nothing to prove with his Abercrombie fun-loving vibe.
